Whenever you come in, you have a certified trichologist keeping a hair history and profile to track and maintain your hair health over time. The approach here is grounded in science, not guesswork. If you need a beautiful curly cut or routine refreshed curls, we've got you covered. If you are experiencing hair thinning, shedding, or scalp concerns, our Scalp Consultation is the place to start. For those who simply want to unwind, our Recovery Day service is a full sensory scalp experience designed for curly girls who want the head spa treatment without the cut. This is a private, one-on-one studio. No distractions. Just focused, intentional care for your hair and scalp. What to Expect Your appointment begins with a scalp assessment and cleanse to remove buildup and restore your scalp environment. Then your service continues based on what you booked. You'll leave with defined, styled curls and a detoxed, refreshed scalp that can best support healthy hair and growth. Long-term results like softer hair, reduced shedding, and improved scalp health come with consistent visits. Every 4 to 6 weeks is ideal depending on your service. Please arrive with your hair unbraided, detangled, and free of extensions so we can properly assess and treat your scalp. Preparing for Your Curl Transformation Your curl transformation includes a precision curly cut, so how you arrive matters. Please arrive with: * Minimal product in your hair * Hair detangled but not brushed out * Your natural curl pattern intact. Do not brush or stretch your curls before this appointment The cut happens first, so we need to see exactly how your hair falls in its natural state before touching it. The scalp detox and deep conditioning treatment follow the cut. If you are tangled, we can work through it, but please note that extensive detangling may extend your appointment time and incur an additional fee. A Few More Things Loc services are available on a case by case basis. Please contact us before booking. Children are welcome to receive services but are not permitted to accompany you as guests during your appointment, per our studio policy. Guests 16 and older are welcome to book independently. Minors under 18 must have a parent or guardian present at check-in. Please wait 7 to 10 days after any chemical service, including color, relaxer, and keratin treatments, before booking. Contagious Conditions & Lice Exposure Policy At FRO Head Spa, maintaining a clean, safe, and restorative environment is our top priority. To protect the wellbeing of all guests and uphold strict sanitation standards, services cannot be performed on anyone with an active contagious scalp or skin condition. Contagious conditions requiring rescheduling until medically cleared: * Head lice (Pediculosis capitis) * Ringworm of the scalp (Tinea capitis) * Impetigo or infected sores * Any open, oozing, or weeping lesions If you have recently been exposed to lice or someone in your household has tested positive, please wait until all treatments are completed and the scalp is fully cleared before booking. Non-contagious conditions that are safe to treat: * Seborrheic dermatitis * Psoriasis or sebopsoriasis * Eczema or contact dermatitis * Dry scalp or product buildup * Alopecia (including areata, traction, and androgenic types) * Folliculitis (if not open, infected, or draining) * Sensitive or irritated scalp without infection These conditions are common and safe to treat. Our protocols use soothing, anti-inflammatory actives and gentle scalp therapy to support barrier recovery and promote scalp wellness.
